double dang

oof da - I'm really bad at blogging! Maybe with my new found ultimate free time I'll learn to get better at this.

Sooo... I graduated. That's pretty exciting! It's over and it feels pretty good. So far I have been doing a lot of reading, watching Twin Peaks, cooking, and trying to go to the Y everyday. Oh - and looking for a job, which is pretty tough considering no one's hiring right now.
I was looking through the pictures on my camera, trying to find something a little more exciting to blog about and I realized I haven't really been up to much, lots of hibernation and playing with Henri and Emma. This is actually perfect though, when I was really stressed out in school I looked forward to the days in January when I could just lay around and have QT with the pets, and read, and watch really bad TV. And though this has been really nice and reflective I am ready to slowly emerge back into the world.

With that I leave you with a sample of what seems to be the only subject I've been photographing for the last few months:

newest

Somehow I ended up at the Humane Society this weekend when I should have been working on my senior project. The result of this procrastination is our newest member of the clan - Henri. So far he has proven himself as a master climber and an excellent alarm clock (as well as ultimate in the cuteness and fun factor). Oh, and he almost gets along with Emma.

I ♥ Wisconsin

Zack, Emma and I spent some quality time in the heart of Wisconsin this weekend. I rediscovered by affection for consumerism in the dairy state as well:

<<<>>>these are some treasures from Ray's Closeouts. I've been a customer at this store since before I can remember, yet I always find something new. The place is full of amazing stuff, everything from yard butts to Elvis clocks<<<>>>

<<<>>>Country Cupboard in Wautoma, Wisconsin is probably the best thrift store I've ever been to. It's the kind of place you dream of when you're at Savers or Unique and you realize the place has already been picked over by everyone in town, and then their friends<<<>>>

we found a not-as-abandoned-as-we-thought-at-first ski lift in the woods. Turns out it's in use, but not in the warmer months (obv). But still neat.

My dad found a turtle

Thorpedo of Thorp, Wisconsin is our new favorite restaurant ---->
